The invitation for this jungle/safari themed first birthday was a lion whose arms wrapped over itself and opened up to reveal the wording. The guests enjoyed a custom soundtrack of jungle sounds including lions roaring, tribesmen periodically beating their drums, rain in the forest, and birds squawking. The children (accompanied by their parents) went on a "safari" to find plastic safari animals, and whatever animals they found they got to keep as a party favor. The table was a fallen log complete with ants stamped on the paper as if marching in a line. Each leaf was individually cut out and stapled along the vines criss-crossing the ceiling, as well as curly tendrils and butterflies hanging from the ceiling, seemingly fluttering above the centerpiece of the cake.
